Grace Church Camp

We attended our church camp this weekend. We had Joel James as the speaker. The topic was God's sovereignty and His providence.
Our faith was really tested this weekend. The numbers for the camp was considerably lower than previous camps. Alan was quite worried about this.
when we arrived he also found out that he did not have the overheads for the music and we did not have any Internet connection to retrieve i either.
On the Saturday things seem to go a little bit smoother. The girls love the freedom of running around and played to their hearts content.
We have a gentleman in our church that is paraplegic. He has expressed his wish to be baptised but getting him into the baptismal pool seemed quit difficult. At the spur of the moment Virl decide that the pool was the perfect place to do it on the Saturday afternoon.
We had a wonderful campfire on the Saturday evening.
Late Saturday evening we had some visitors. They helped themselves to all the electronic equipment that we brought. So on Sunday morning we fist had to deal with the police and all the statements.
Having arrived home safely on Sunday afternoon we were all looking forward to hearing Joel for the last time. We where all waiting for him at 17h00 and he was still at home at Pretoria thinking the service was at 18H00.
However Neil Anderson had a wonderful sermon on Living for the gospel which is the sermon the Lord wanted us to hear in providence.

Poor Effort

The last time I wrote was in February.

We have been so busy. the Lord has taken us through a very hard time but we have learned a lot of valuable lessons. We are so grateful for that. We are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and it is not an oncomming train. :-)

Here are some pictures of the family. Hope to keep up the post more regularly.

The new year

The year has started with a bang. It did not help that I did not have any leave in December. Poor Alan had to look after the girls as Soneni( our wonderful nanny) also needed some leave. Alan did a wonderful job. Our weekends are filled with work and B'day parties at the moment.
Emma was asked to be a model for a new clothes brand that one of our friends are importing. They took photos at the Bunny park for 5 hours on Saturday. She was exhausted and slept through the party in the afternoon.
I will try and download some pictures other wise you can have alook on www.provan.aminus3.com
